Ray Trujillo
Fresno, CA
Ray Trujillo knows agriculture from the ground up. Raised in California’s Central Valley, he worked alongside his parents in the orchards and packing sheds before becoming the first in his family to earn a college degree. With a B.S. in agricultural business from Fresno State, Ray spent years as a pest control advisor and crop consultant. Now he writes for Writly about farming practices, agtech, and the labor and water issues shaping Western agriculture. His voice is grounded, candid, and fiercely proud of the farmworker community that raised him. When he’s not covering a soil health field day or interviewing an ag startup founder, Ray runs a small plot of organic vegetables and coaches youth baseball.
